Pike Place Market in Summer

From a few recent trips to Pike Place Market: I love the colors of the market and here is this summer's homage, in a film that captures beautiful color. These were shot with two different kinds of Kodak Portra over the last two weeks. Hover over the shots to see their titles.

the violinist
watching beecher's cheese

pink door's berry cobbler with raspberry gelato
the patio at the pink door
tea in post alley
out of the alley
summer flowers
the souk
chili peppers
alvarez farm peppers

these are the first photos of Pikes that actually make me want to brave all those tourists and go down there.

Lovely, lovely stuff.

I love these ... Isn't Portra fantastic? I'm so thankful that you introduced me to that film. :-)

Also, I would like to buy a print of the "TEA" photo. *cough*etsy*cough*

Great pics! I just got off 35 mm camera and finally fell in love with digi for its ease of editing/uploading etc. Your pics make me wanna go back to film! Also, those pics remind me of our lovely 2008 summer trip to Seattle on our way to Alaska. I have very similar pics of that market LOL! Y

I love these shots! I have lived in Seattle most of my life and you captured some of what makes the Market so special without the "touristy" shots. Lovely.
