This year I spent less time talking on the phone, and more putting its mini 2 megapixel lens to good use. I used to be skeptical of how popular mobile photos had become in the age of iPhones, but thanks to my mobile, sometimes it's easier to capture the moment without causing a scene. There are some locals who have inspired me as mobile photographers because of their timing, subject choices, and perspective and they sort of got me clicking, with my phone!
I have to say you don't need a cellphone that starts with an i to take good cellphone photos! Mine is a LG Versa. What you see here are from 2009, often on foot or while commuting.
I am looking forward to many more ways of capturing light and life in the next year. Hope you are, too! and have a great 2010.

Very well said MPG! These are stunning as usual. Have a wonderful 2010.
It's the photographer, not the camera. You just proved that point with all these fantastic photos! I especially love the diptych with the yellow car and the lemons. :-) HAPPY NEW YEAR!
beautiful beautiful beautiful. happy new year:)
These are gorgeous - what a great way to start the New Year! thank you!
Peter - Thanks & same to you!
Jess - That lemons one was one of the rare diptychs where the individuals were actually shot back to back. Saw the car outside of PCC & then noticed the lemons in the produce section :) Happy New Year!
Kari - Thanks & happy new year to you!
Maria - Yes, looking back is sometimes more fun :) We've got to see you in the new year!
awesome mobile shots :D love it!!
I like the objects and angles you choose to photograph. Classy and stylish. Am listening to Duke Ellington at the moment and it goes perfectly with your photos. The morning glories with the dew drops are so whimsical with their nearly tranparent silky petals. Nice one.
I can't believe these are mobile shots either - fabulous job in organzing/juxtaposing
